Puppy hit by train saved by Cumbrian woman on a mission to rescue stray animals

The fight to help save the dogs and cats of Sri Lanka is being helped by a woman and her supporters

From cats to dogs, one woman is on a mission to jump through as many hoops as possible to save the animals of Sri Lanka – and now she has a special helper to navigate the obstacles.

Eddie Kidd, the legendry British stunt man is giving his time and support to Rachel Schofield, from Wigton, who founded Help Hikkaduwa Strays after a holiday to the area in September 2013.

Rachel has worked to help save about 10,000 animals
