We have several feeding rounds in different regions of Sri Lanka.
Volunteers cook the food, usually rice, with chicken or fish. The food is then distributed to the stray cats and dogs in these areas. The food is then placed on sheets of paper to keep clean.
The strays become accustomed to time and places where and when the food is provided.
The volunteers also watch for newly dumped animals who may be sick, injured or unneutered. Often very young animals are dumped and the volunteer can then try to rehome the youngsters. Sadly, it is nearly impossible to rehome adult street animals.
Help the stray and wild animals of Sri Lanka with a monthly donation.
